Testimonials from recently concluded residential and day camps at Glenalmond College

A quick note to let you know how much E and K enjoyed your hockey camp. They were shattered on Friday night. K said her hitting and pushing have improved and E said she had fun. If you run the camp next year and the dates work for us, you have 2 attendees ready to join!

Just to say a big thank you from us both and E to you and all the coaches for an excellent first residential hockey camp. E truly had a wonderful time.

I have asked her some of the questions below for your feedback.

The hockey was exceptional, the coaches were great and the overall experience great fun with lots learnt.

Activities: lots of fun activities to satisfy all were on offer, Emilia’s favourite was the swimming.

The best part of camp for Emilia was receiving her prize of a new hockey bag. She was utterly delighted and so chuffed! She also loved playing in the hockey matches.

A very positive report overall! She had an amazing time and thank you for all your care and making her feel special on her 13^th birthday.

She is looking forward to next year already!

XX had the best time and the hockey was outstanding. XX absolutely loved the coaching and came home saying she had learned so much. The standard of coaching was fantastic, and she has returned feeling far more confident and inspired.

There was a great balance between hockey and the other activities, and she thoroughly enjoyed everything that was organised. Without a doubt, the tournaments were the best parts of the camp and the opportunity to meet and play alongside so many new friends from all over. She came home with wonderful memories, new friendships and even more enthusiasm for hockey.

Thank you again for all the time, energy and care you both put into making the camp such a positive experience. It is clear how much hard work goes on behind the scenes, and it is very much appreciated. XX is already looking forward to next year!

Just a small but grateful thank you for the weekend. We have a few tired bodies and brains as I am sure you guys have.

GCW always enjoy the competition and the friendly environment of the HPC Indoor series and I would like to thank everyone from the immediate family and organisers to the umpires.

Our boys and girls friends the tournament an excellent way to develop their Indoor Hockey and the usual question after this is when does indoor start again.

The fact I didn’t hear from her much at all was also a sign that she was very happy.

Pauline, I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for hosting such a great camp last week at Glenalmond. I didn’t get a chance to thank you as I wasn’t doing the pick up. Anyway *** said she thoroughly enjoyed the week and really felt she benefited and learned a lot. Her school pre season training starts tomorrow and she’s excited to get back to school hockey and hopefully have a crack at district hockey this season.

I just want to say B had a wonderful week at the camp making many new friends and improving her hockey skills.

Thank you for all the words of encouragement during your one to one with her, she feels inspired and more determined to keep going to improve her goalkeeping skills and continue trying to get into district/Scotland squads.

I picked up a very happy, tired child on Friday and wanted to say a big thank you to yourself and all the coaches. A absolutely loved the week , she has learnt new skills and has a bunch of new friends.

Just wanted to say thank you for the hockey camp. The girls seemed to thoroughly enjoy it all and the only complaint was not enough hockey due to weather.

They are keen to attend one in summer.

I just wanted to thank you and all the coaches for the camp this week. Despite the conditions **** had a brilliant time at her first camp and is already gutted that we are on holiday during your next camp in July.

I will keep a look out for any other camps during the summer holidays and hopefully she can make it to another one of yours in the future.

Thanks for a super 3 day camp Pauline, Anna really enjoyed and she has dozed and slept pretty much since she got home!

Always a good sign of a great time – exhausted !!

Just wanted to feedback that **** really enjoyed the camp and felt she had learned a lot. The standard of coaching and skill levels sought were higher than she has experienced at other camps and really inspired her to improve.

She had a great time off the hockey pitches too and was recounting the water polo games and gym sessions with aching limbs and a smile.
