HPC offers individual hockey coaching to all ages and abilities, giving each participant a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop their personal skills

    For this to be achieved HPC can offer:

  • Group coaching with an excellent coach:player ratio
  • Up-to-date knowledge, expertise and coaching techniques
  • Modern Equipment fully supplied
  • One-to-one sessions, concentrating on individual development
  • “Set Play” instruction sessions to both players and coaches
  • “Coach the coach” days – working on training techniques
  • Security in that HPC is a well-run business with quality & reliability

    Group Options:

  • Up to a maximum of 50 players per day available
  • Small Group Sessions (e.g. 1st Team players only)
  • One-to-one tuition
  • Evaluation/Notational Analysis work completed
  • Umpiring Skills

Head Coaches at HPC (Scotland) Ltd – hockey

PAULINE STOTT – COACH – HONOURED BY THE QUEEN – MBE JUNE 2016

Pauline has recently been honoured the MBE by the Queen in the 2016 Birthday Honours list.    This is for Service to Hockey and Sport in Scotland.

Pauline’s hockey career started when she was 12 years old and progressing to play for Scotland at Under 16, Under 18, Under 21 and Scotland levels.  Her first Scotland cap was given to Pauline at the age of just 19.

Pauline played for Scotland for 12 years, gaining 123 caps and proudly being Captain for 7 of those years.  She has been all over the world from Australia, Asia, and Europe with the squads and performed as striker, midfield and defender along her fantastic hockey journey having competed in EVERY World hockey competition including European Cups, Commonwealth Games, World Cup and Olympics x 2.

Playing for Great Britain is the highlight of Pauline’s career with first caps coming in 1991 with a trip to New Zealand.  She was selected as Vice Captain for the Atlanta 1996 Olympics and had the honour of being Captain at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Retiring in 2000 after the Olympics to spend time with her family Pauline ended up with 203 GB/Scotland caps in total.

Her coaching style is one which is open and honest as Pauline is keen to share her love of the game with passion through direct emphasis on correct technique to ensure that all the boys and girls have a solid foundation of skill to work on to reach their goals and dreams.

 

DAVID STOTT – COACH

Currently working at Glenalmond College as their Director of Hockey and David also runs the sports camps during the annual holidays.

David previously worked for Scottish Hockey for over 9 years and has been coaching for over 20 years having had a successful playing career with Dundee Wanderers and Scotland.  His coaching experience ranges from working with Senior women, Senior men, Junior women and Junior men, having been very fortunate to have coached at World Cups, European Championships and Commonwealth Games.

David’s style of coaching is emphasis on empowering the athletes to understand the game and challenge their personal development through motivated sessions and energy throughout.

He especially enjoys seeing the talent on show at the camps and taking them to a new personal level of achievement.
